I really like the font Gill Sans. I used to use it on this blog. But, alas, no more! (For now). I use a Mac, so I didn't notice this problem until I visited this site on my work desktop (Windows 7). In Chrome on Windows, Gill Sans apparently defaults to the ultra bold version now.

Not cool. It is terrible for content text. So, based on advice from this chromium thread I initially resorted to Gill Sans MT. But it's just not the same, and I can't give it a lighter weight. So then I decided to go with the 300 weight Google Font Open Sans. It's still not as nice as Gill Sans, but it'll do for now. Until Windows, or Google or somebody fixes things.

Update: To illustrate for those who don't have Windows, or Chrome on Windows, this is what (still) happens.
